Summertime and the reading is easy

Here at 826 National we love to read year-round, but summer opens up a whole new realm of possibilities (beach reading, anyone?). We invite you to join us on June 7 in celebrating summer reading on Twitter by using the hashtag #summerreading. Whether you have juicy book recommendations, the GPS coordinates of the best trees to read under, photos of you reading in a summer teepee, or more, this is your chance to share with the world.

Get inspired by others’ ideas or, if you’re still searching for summer reading material, check out some of our engaging student publications, such as A Place For Me In The World, 826 Boston’s newly published book of Mission Hill School’s 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students exploring careers of workers ranging from rock drummers to mayors. Grab some sunscreen, a popsicle, and a lawn chair and hit that summer reading list. That’s what we’ll be doing.
