Congratulations LaShanee King!

LaShanee King, one of 826LA's Rythm of the Chain authors has been singled out for an incredible honor. She is among five students being recognized at this year's "Beat the Odds Dinner," sponsored by the Children's Defense Fund. Her self-willed turnaround from gang life to 4.0 student is the subject of her Rythm of the Chain essay, "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child."
