826 students go back to after-school tutoring

This September, 826CHI, 826 Seattle, 826LA, and 826 Valencia all began offering after-school tutoring specially catered to luring that most elusive of species: the high school student. The high school tutoring sessions provide a space free from the distractions sometimes provided by the occasionally raucous (though always adorable!) younger students. Just like our other after-school tutoring programs, tutors provide helpful, focused help on any and every kind of homework. Raúl Alcantar, Programs Coordinator at 826 Valencia, said that a recent high school tutoring session felt “like a study hall” and that “students were working on assignments, including college applications. We had enough tutors for one-on-one support.”
