826LA opens a new space for tutoring and time travel!

We’re skipping through millennia with excitement to announce that 826LA will be opening both new space for increased programming and its second Time Travel Mart! In late October 826LA's Westside operations will be moving from their original home in Venice Beach to an even larger space on 12515 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90066 in Mar Vista. The move will put 826LA West closer to the over 8,500 K-12 students living in the 90066 zip code and make it possible to expand 826LA's offerings of after-school tutoring, in-schools projects, and field trips in the neighborhood. The new location, located just 1.5 miles from the original location on W. Venice Boulevard, will begin providing free student programming on October 29.

And though it may soon appear that 826LA’s Echo Park Time Travel Mart is traveling through time and occupying two storefronts simultaneously, it’s really just expanding across a zip code or two! Retail operations at the brand new Mar Vista Time Travel Mart will begin with a soft opening on November 5. The store’s grand opening takes place on November 30, just in time for the holiday season.
