Become an 826 National Intern
826 National is growing, and we need your help! Based in San Francisco, the 826 National office is looking for creative, hardworking individuals seeking meaningful internships in the nonprofit world. If this describes you and you have an interest in fundraising, marketing, editing, event planning, research, program evaluation, and business administration, then this is the place for you.
"Having discovered a passion for fundraising and nonprofit development, 826 National has left me looking forward to what's next -- a powerful and practical gift to bestow on an intern."-Harriet Dwyer, 826 National Intern
"Quite possibly the coolest work experience with which I could have started my career."- Joe Demes, 826 National Intern
"Being an intern at 826 National gives you a valuable opportunity to work for something bigger than yourself, and to see the value in the work that goes on behind the scenes of a nonprofit."- Janette Krulick, 826 National Intern
At 826 National our interns are an important part of our team, helping to support staff with national initiatives that keep our seven tutoring and writing centers running. On any given day you may find yourself doing a number of different projects, from writing text for the newsletter to helping coordinate a nationwide fundraising campaign, doing mail runs or editing student work and website content. Interns help us prepare and run all of our events, and you might even find yourself designing a product or modeling 826 snuggies and other swag for the online store. Up for the challenge? Great, we’d love to hear from you.
We are currently hiring for several different intern positions. While all our interns and staff members often work together, each intern position will focus on a different aspect of our organization. Check out each one and see which position interests you. We are now seeking interns for Fall 2015 (except for the Research and Evaluation Internship) and Spring 2016 (all positions). Apply by August 15th for a fall internship and January 1st for a spring internship. For inquiries about the internship program contact Daniel Cesca: daniel [at] 826national.org
