Blue Vs. Green Frogs
by Marvin Mendoza
Marvin is an eleven year old student at 826 Boston.
“Ribbit.” One day (ribbit) there was a place that was divided by five parts, (ribbit) but they were not claimed by humans, but frogs of all different colors: (ribbit), blue, gray, red, yellow, and green. Green was the smallest (ribbit). Blue was the biggest and also the baddest (ribbit).
(Ribbit) One year later the blue frogs gathered with the governor of the blue frogs. Also, with the king of the blue frogs, they talked about taking over the green territory. The day they told the soldiers, they got sticks and rocks and got lizards to ride them as horses.
So then two months later they got ready in four lines. Then the blue frogs attacked using the blue rock catapults they only hit two on their legs they got stuck and fainted. The green frogs got their sticks and poked them. Some fell down. When they got up, the lizard riders ran a bunch of frogs over, and the frogs on the lizards flipped the dead frogs with their sticks. Most of the green frogs were in their wood castle and the rest were down. The blue army entered the green frogs’ castle to look for the king. He gave them a billion dollars. The blue frogs accepted it but said they would be back.
Bio: Eleven-year-old Marvin is never bored and always has something to talk about. He enjoys the writing projects at 826 Boston, the last minute of the school day, and the smell of fresh air. If he could travel anywhere in the world, Marvin says he would visit Italy, where he would see both his stepmom and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
