and the same amount of small, curious boys;
lined up on cold gravestones,
like Gorey’s illustrated puppet toys.

And the same amount of small, curious boys,
dead to the world,
like Gorey’s illustrated puppet toys.
Lost like our words...

Dead to the world,
like Gorey’s illustrated puppet toys
Lost like our words;
they weren’t marionettes.

Morbidly, amusingly misused;
thirteen little Edwardian girls.
They weren’t marionettes,
lined up on cold stone graves.
